Willow Empowerment for Grassroot Development Initiative is a Non Governmental organization, addressing the challenges faced by agriculture, harvest, and post-harvest in Nigeria.

About the company: Despite having rich climatic & geographical biodiversity and engagement of more than 50 percent of the entire population in agriculture, Nigeria is still a food-deficient country. Productivity of all agriculture commodities in Nigeria is below 50% of the global average and the post-harvest loss is above 45%. Lack of proper knowledge and skills on appropriate farming practices, lack of access to quality inputs, inadequate storage facility, and lack of labor-saving tools and equipment have resulted in low productivity forcing rural people to opt for non-farm activities income. Problems in the agriculture sector in Nigeria are multidimensional, requiring a holistic solution. Thus, willow NGO has been operating since 2018 to provide a one-stop solution to the problems faced by agriculture communities of Nigeria.

Vision: To create economic opportunities among the farming communities of Nigeria by converting low profitable traditional agriculture occupations into sustainable, interconnected, entrepreneurial ventures and value chain agro-products

Mission: To strengthen the capacity of small-scale farmers or new entrants in the agriculture industry in order to turn their venture into a successful agripreneurship.
