About 

STEM Plus is a local community development charitable organization, established and officially recognized by relevant governmental authorities in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Comprised of seasoned professionals from diverse governmental and non-governmental backgrounds, our organization is dedicated to spearheading sustainable community development initiatives.

Key Objectives

  • Education: We prioritize supporting economically disadvantaged yet academically talented students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) from 9th grade onwards. Our belief is that nurturing these young minds will not only transform their lives and communities but also contribute significantly to global progress.
  • Collaborative Development: We actively engage with various NGOs and government bodies to drive sustained social, democratic, and economic advancements within the community.
  • Social Cohesion and Peace: Our strategies include reinforcing social unity, peace-building, and conflict resolution through national and international social exchange programs and projects.
  • Youth Entrepreneurship: We encourage and support youth initiatives in private and group entrepreneurship to foster economic self-sufficiency.
  • Community Support Advisory: Our role extends to coordinating and advising government agencies in their endeavors to enhance community living standards.
  • Environmental and Disaster Management: We focus on disaster risk reduction, emergency response, food security, and climate change adaptation.
  • Gender Equality and Women Empowerment: We are committed to leading initiatives in gender issues and empowering women.
