The Youth Association of International Animal Husbandry Science and Technology

Description

The Youth Association of International Animal Husbandry Science and Technology (YAIAST) is a youth-led international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the cultivation and innovative development of talents in animal science and technology. It evolved from the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\”Point Grass Into Gold\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\” comprehensive straw feed utilization project team, which won third place in the 2021 Global AgriInno Challenge. Building upon its original project platform, it has gradually developed into an open scientific research and exchange platform for global youth. The organization aims to enhance the international perspective, innovative capabilities, and practical skills of young talents in animal science and technology, actively promotes the voice of youth in the international animal husbandry sector, and contributes to the sustainable development of the global livestock industry
Since its precursor team won the third place in the Global AgriInno Challenge organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2021, the Youth Association of International Animal Science and Technology (YAIAST) has rapidly evolved from a single project group into a dynamic international platform. Although YAIAST is a very young international organization, within just a few years of its establishment, it has already achieved a grand slam of research competitions hosted by United Nations agencies such as FAO, UNDP, and UNEP. It has jointly created over 20 scientific research projects and engaged more than 600 university students in agricultural services, directly increasing farmers\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’ breeding income by RMB 50 million. Additionally, YAIAST has organized and participated in international summits such as the World Food Forum and the World Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation. One of its members, Chen Gangliang, was elected as a \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\”Food Hero\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\” for the International Year of Camelids 2024. Cumulatively, the organization has impacted nearly 1,000 young scholars and practitioners in the global animal husbandry sector.
Leveraging its existing resource network and demonstrated impact, the Youth Association for International Animal Science and Technology firmly believes that collaboration can create even greater value. We greatly look forward to establishing strategic partnerships with enterprises, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations worldwide to deepen cooperation in talent development, technology incubation, and knowledge sharing, and jointly inject new youthful vitality into the sustainable development of the global animal husbandry industry.
