What is Funded

Grant funding generally ranges from EUR50,000 to EUR5 million.

Eligible / Access

Eligible African governments, regional bodies, river-basin organizations, public utilities and other qualified institutions submit a concept for screening before a full grant application. To be eligible to receive AWF grants or technical assistance, recipients must be regional member countries of the African Development Bank (ADB), political subdivisions or agencies working within these countries, or regional agencies or institutions concerned with water resource development in Africa.

SSTC / Triangular-Cooperation Coverage

Major Africa-focused route for water and sanitation project preparation, catalytic investments and water-governance strengthening, including regional and cross-border initiatives.
