中非发展基金、中葡基金及万宝非洲向莫桑比克灾区捐赠百吨大米(新闻通稿)



当地时间3月27日上午,在我驻莫桑比克苏健大使和莫桑比克救灾局官员的见证下,中非发展基金、中葡合作发展基金(简称“中葡基金”)及万宝非洲农业发展公司(简称“万宝非洲”)联手捐赠的100吨“好味道”大米运往莫桑比克国家救灾局总部,成为3月16日受强热带气旋“伊代”侵袭以来,莫桑比克收到来自中国企业的最大一笔大米捐助。 据悉,3月16日,强热带气旋“伊代”侵袭莫桑比克第二大城市贝拉,风速高达每小时177公里,致使当地基础设施全部瘫痪,大量村庄被洪水整体淹没。据联合国发布的信息显示,截至26日,莫桑比克受灾害影响人数近200万。 万宝非洲是中非发展基金、中葡基金在莫桑比克合作投资的水稻种植加工项目公司,生产的大米由莫桑比克前总统格布扎亲自命名为“好味道”,目前由中铁二十局受托管理。灾害发生后,双方股东及万宝非洲共同决定向莫桑比克灾区人民伸出援助之手,为灾区捐赠 “好味道”大米100吨。据了解,莫桑比克中国商会、中铁二十局等中资企业还将向万宝非洲采购救灾大米100多吨。为此,万宝非洲紧急组织人员物资,每天两班连续生产16小时,加班加点生产大米,为灾区提供保质保量粮食供应。 “我们愿尽绵薄之力,与莫桑比克政府和民众携手共渡难关,为救灾工作贡献自己的一份力量”。在莫桑比克中国商会组织的捐赠仪式上,受万宝项目股东方委托出席的中铁二十局莫桑比克公司董事长兼总经理、万宝非洲总经理郭炜表示。 中非发展基金是中国政府在2006年中非合作论坛北京峰会上提出的举措,是中国首支专注于非洲的股权投资基金,总规模100亿美元,由国家开发银行承办。迄今为止,中非发展基金已决定在36个非洲国家投资90多个项目,决策金额超过48亿美元。中葡基金中国政府在“中国—葡语国家经贸合作论坛第三届部长级会议”上宣布的举措,基金规模10亿美元,由国家开发银行和澳门工商业发展基金发起设立。 中非发展基金自成立以来一直致力于搭建中非经贸合作的桥梁与纽带,积极履行社会责任,投资的万宝非洲项目为莫桑比克提供了大量就业岗位,并为农业技术在莫桑比克的推广做出了不懈努力,获得当地政府和民众的高度赞誉和广泛好评。
