A series of three documents was jointly developed by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) focused on the implementation of Brazil’s Law on Protective Hearing (13.431/2017), which regulates and organizes the system for guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents who are victims or witnesses of violence, and creates mechanisms to prevent and curb violence. The policy briefs seek to demonstrate that an exemplary implementation of the law can be achieved, provided conditions such as political will and alliances with key stakeholders at different government levels are met.
