India-UN Fund: Impact of Projects Across Sectors

During the third quarter, the India-UN Development Partnership Fund, established in 2017, continued to support South-South cooperation for advancement of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, toward improved livelihoods and a better future. For example, a project in Trinidad and Tobago successfully supported the health care system in the country through the provision of eight healthcare robots. Two of the robots provide disinfecting services, and six are humanoid health services robots. A project in Micronesia, is contributing towards women’s engagement and active participation in society. The project supported the second basketball tournament in the country which encouraged young women’s participation in athletics. Meanwhile, a small grant enabled the women of the Kosrae region to rehabilitate the water catchment area of their area. A project in Nicaragua is utilizing ‘Universal Design for Learning’ to produce digital second-grade science materials, which include 1,223 videos, 938 illustrations, 40 animations, and interactive storyboards.
