UNDP China is pleased to present you with our new 2017 policy series titled “China’s South-South Cooperation with Pacific Island Countries in the Context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
China has emerged as a major development partner for Pacific island countries (PICs). With a view to strengthening cooperation between China and the Pacific towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and as part of our support to China’s South-South cooperation, UNDP China produced a policy series that takes the lead in exploring challenges and opportunities in China’s South-South development cooperation with PICs in the context of the SDGs. This policy series consists of one overarching analysis and four sector-specific reports focusing on health, renewable energy, infrastructure and climate change adaptation respectively. These reports provide specific and practical recommendations on how China could strengthen its development cooperation and support PICs in achieving the SDGs.
