Dominica’s Kalinago Territory celebrates its legacy and enhances its livelihoods

The India-UN Fund project in Dominica produced a series of audiovisual products that serve to outreach and promote the sustainable results of the project, enhance livelihoods in the Kalinago territory and celebrate the Kalinago identity.

The project “Strengthening Sustainable Livelihoods and Resilience in the Kalinago Territory” funded by the India-UN Fund aims to support the government in delivering an integrated package of support to boost agriculture, reforestation, and tourism, through participative and inclusive decision-making in Dominica’s Kalinago Territory.

This booklet was produced by the Strengthening Sustainable Livelihoods Project (SSLR) in the Kalinago Territory supported by the India-UN Fund and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the Kalinago Council and the Government of Dominica. The booklet aims at retelling the Kalinago narrative to children while raising awareness of Kalinago history and culture and its contribution to the development and progress of Dominica.
