The United Nations Rome-based Agencies (RBAs) – the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Food Programme (WFP) – are holding a joint celebration of the 2024 UN Day for South-South Cooperation titled “Global partners, local actions: Strengthening nutrition and food security through South-South and Triangular Cooperation”. The celebration is being organized in collaboration with the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) and the Brazilian Government.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 10 September 2024, from 14:30 to 16:30 CEST in a hybrid modality, via zoom and in Brasilia, Brazil.
The celebration will provide the opportunity to announce the Brazil-RBAs SSTC Joint Programme on School Feeding and Family Farming as a mechanism to foster innovative, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that can contribute effectively to the global fight against hunger and poverty.
